Teaching Fellowship

What do Teaching Fellows do?

Teaching Fellows are HDR students given the opportunity to teach tutorials in a guided manner at the first year level in Chemistry. Teaching Fellows receive training, support and mentoring for their teaching in a collegial atmosphere with other Teaching Fellows. In addition, Teaching Fellows are involved with exam marking. The Teaching Fellowship awards $5000 p/a, with approximately 4 new Fellows appointed each year.

How many hours do Teaching Fellows teach?

Teaching Fellows will complete 75 hours during the year. Most of this will be as a tutor in one term. (2-3 tutorials/week + weekly training & debrief)

Who is eligible?

Teaching fellows must be enrolled as an HDR student in the School of Chemistry (started after 1 July 2020)
