I am from Sydney and spent almost a decade overseas in Massachusetts, USA. My background encompasses physics and biochemistry, and enjoy working in interdisciplinary fields such as astrobiology, biophysics, and soft matter.

I did my undergraduate studies in Physics at The University of Sydney (2006-2009). After obtaining a MS (2013) and PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University (2016), I was fortunate to be a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow in Astrobiology at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2016-2018. I then returned to Australia to start a group at UNSW Sydney.

I really enjoy relating material in the classroom to our experience of the natural world, and our experience of the every day. Science and chemistry are everywhere, and everyone can enjoy complex problem solving whether it be in the lab or in the board room.

I teach into CHEM2921 (Food Chemistry), CHEM3061 (Chemistry of Materials), and CDEV3000 (Practice of Work).
