IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast 2020

Posted 8 May 2020

The event was well attended, with breakfast, ice-breaker craft activities (provided by Dr Laura McKemmish), and presentations on leadership by chair of the EDI committee Dr Ruth Thomas, Scientia Prof Martina Stenzel, and local organizer Dr Nicole Rijs.

With the international success of the first IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast held in 2019 coinciding with the IUPAC100 and International Year of the Periodic Table, the breakfast has become an annual event. Held on a single day across the globe, as breakfasts go live hearts are lit on a shared map, and social media connects breakfasts locally and internationally. More photos of the experience are available on flickr here.

Plans for GWB 2021 are already underway!
