Applications Now Open for Summer Vacation Research Scholarships

Posted 8 August 2016

Undergraduate students interested in doing hands-on research during the summer break can now apply for Summer Vacation Research Scholarships (SVRS).

The scholarships, valued at $3,800 for a six-week research project, are jointly funded by UNSW Chemistry and the Faculty of Science.

The school of chemistry are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic students keen to explore research options. If you have enjoyed learning chemistry, but haven’t decided which area to specialise in, or figured out if research is for you, then a research project over summer could help sort you out.

SVRS are open to permanent residents of Australia, or citizens of Australia or New Zealand, who are currently enrolled in the second last year of an undergraduate program in science, or a related discipline. Note, applications are accepted from both UNSW and non-UNSW students

Unsuccessful applicants, who show potential, will be considered for one of the School of Chemistry Supplementary Scholarships. No separate application is necessary.

All applications should be submitted via the UNSW Scholarships website before 22 September.
