Master of Philosophy

Students undertaking a Master of Philosophy in the School of Chemistry perform ~1.7 years of full time research and take the following courses:

  • Research Skills (CHEM7119) which involves writing a research proposal, giving a research talk to the school and attending the school's research seminars 
  • 12 Units of Credit from third year or higher

For example, an MPhil student has the option of enrolling in CHEM7119 along with two third year Chemistry courses, or one third year course and 3 honours modules (3 honours modules correspond to 6 Units of Credit).
