I have been passionate about science since childhood, always being interested in how things work and making/fixing things with that knowledge. I was drawn to nanotechnology  as it is a relatively new area of science encompassing multiple disciplines with a wide variety of potential uses, such as making great computers or screens, saving lives with biological implants or making materials with wonderful properties. I started studying nanotechnology at UNSW in 2010, choosing UNSW because it was the only nearby university with a proper nanotechnology degree. Over the years of my degree I have developed an interest in sustainability and hope to use nanotechnology to develop technologies to help make society sustainable.

Over my degree I have experienced areas that where challenging and others that were repetitive or frustrating, but overall it has been an interesting and rewarding experience.
