Equity Diversity and Inclusion

The School of Chemistry aims to provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for all students and staff regardless of their race, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identification. As such, the School strongly supports UNSW's Equity and Diversity Policy in regard to these matters.

We believe that LGBTIQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (Questioning)) students and staff at our School should not be alienated or have to deal with ill-treatment by any staff or fellow students in the University.

If you feel you need support, please contact Steve Yannoulatos (Student Support Manager, x54651) or Toby Jackson (School Manager, x56634).

The Ally Network at UNSW posts lists of people on their website who have undergone training to support LGBTIQ students and staff (https://student.unsw.edu.au/allies). Peta Di Bella from our School is an Ally. You can seek support from any of the Allies, should you feel you need it.
