Chemical Sciences Building official opening of new labs

Posted 31 May 2019

The School of Chemistry recently opened our newly refurbished teaching laboratories in the Chemical Sciences Building at the beginning of Term 1, 2019. The official opening was attended by Merlin Crossley (DVCA) and Emma Johnston, Dean of Science, among other members of staff from the School of Chemistry.

The first year laboratory can accommodate up to 60 students and the second and third year analytical laboratories can accommodate 50 students. The analytical laboratory is divided into two different sections - one for wet chemical practicals and the other provides a range of analytical instruments.

The newly refurbished labs will greatly benefit 3000 UNSW First Year students, 300 Global Diploma students and 800 Global Foundation Studies students.
