A review on Colloidal silicon quantum dots from the Gooding group in Chemical Society Reviews

Posted 23 May 2014

Congratulations to Mr. Jet (Xiaoyu) Cheng, Dr. Stuart Lowe, Dr. Peter Reese (Physics) and Prof. Justin Gooding on their review in Chemical Society Reviews (impact factor 24.9) - one of the top three review journals in Chemistry! Their paper on Colloidal silicon quantum dots: from preparation to the modification of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) for bio-applications (Chem. Soc. Rev., 2014, 43, 2680) can be found here. In collaboration with Dr. Peter Reese in Physics, the Gooding group has build a very vibrant research program on the use of silicon quantum dots as biocompatable nanomaterials for biolabelling. The international leadership that the Gooding group has in this field has been highlighted again with this review.
